The Cognos Conversion Service provides you the tools and the Cognos Solutions Implementation Methodology (SIM) to quickly convert your existing Business Intelligence (BI) applications to Cognos 8 BI.
The Cognos Conversion Service provides you with the resources to convert from other BI platforms to Cognos 8 BI. Conversion Estimate Service
A free estimate performed by Niteo Partners, the Preferred Delivery Partner for the Cognos Conversion Service. The
service uses estimation tools to:
- Support initial dialogue
- Estimate scope, costs and resources
- Evaluate delivery approaches and options
- Analyze ROI
Conversion Audit Service
A rapid audit of your existing BI systems and architecture allows for accurate scoping and early identification of issues. The audit enables a detailed proposal and conversion project plan to be created with either a single comprehensive audit or multiple targeted audits.
Conversion Implementation Service
The Conversion Implementation Services is a strategic, repeatable, onshore-offshore service that can be easily adapted to your specific environment, usage and business requirements. Niteo has contributed significant intellectual property to build the Conversion Implementation Roadmap, a new component of the Cognos SIM.
The Cognos Conversion Service utilizes the Conversion Implementation Roadmap, following a hybrid conversion approach - some elements are converted using a Lift and Shift approach where redundancy is eliminated but the core elements of the reports are converted unchanged. Other elements require a more detailed strategic Compress and Optimize conversion, where improvements using new technology in Cognos 8 BI are applied to improve their effectiveness. This hybrid approach delivers the most effective results and leads to a greatly improved BI solution.
Conversion Results
The Cognos Conversion Service enables customers to see dramatic decreases in costs including training, licenses, maintenance, and administration by reducing the number of applications involved.
