Large Mutual Life Insurance Company
This client, a Fortune 100 company, is a leading mutual life insurance company in the United States and one of the principal life insurers in the world. Headquartered in New York City, this company and its affiliates offer life insurance, annuities and long-term care insurance. Affiliate companies provide institutional asset management, retirement plan and trust services, an array of securities products and services, as well as institutional and retail mutual funds.
Client Opportunity
The client has spent a significant amount of resources and efforts over the past five years building an online presence. Their site started with a virtual service center, the first of its kind among the company's direct competitors. As they were launching a new, more robust version of its site to attract both new and existing customers, the firm needed to develop and implement a strategy to send a message to all users of the site that the company's online presence has been enhanced.
Niteo's Solution
Niteo was selected to create an online message to inform users of the benefits and features of the enhanced site. The project would involve formulating a message, creating a "look and feel" that was consistent with the new site, and determining the best delivery mechanism for optimal exposure and reuse.
- The Niteo team worked closely with the client to determine the appropriate format and delivery mechanism for the message.
- A series of brainstorming sessions were used to formulate alternatives for communicating the site enhancements.
- Niteo's designers created a consistent "look and feel" for the message, which was delivered in the form of an e-card, created in Flash.
- After gaining buy-in from various constituent groups within the client company, Niteo helped deliver the message to the site users, then monitored and tracked user responses to the message.
Client Result
- The e-card was sent to four key constituent groups, including agents, and provided them with the ability to forward a customized message to potential new customers. The card was created in a way that enabled simple reuse in the future and was archived on the client's marketing site. Additional features, such as music, were added to the card to enhance the user experience.
- Moving forward, Niteo's monitoring and tracking of the user's response provides the client with the means to discern which features are most popular with its user base.
